Manufacturers Advocating Pool Safety (MAPS) is an international coalition of carefully evaluated and selectively invited pool safety product manufacturers who consistently demonstrate a conscientious regard for reducing drowning incidents. The members of MAPS make promoting pool safety education and awareness even beyond their own product lines an organizational priority.

Accidental drowning in swimming pools is a leading cause of death for children under 5 years world wide. If drowning were a disease, it would be of epidemic proportions.

MAPS advocates the "layers of protection" approach to reducing child drowning incidents and strongly supports the CSPC'S Pool Safely campaign message.

This site will serve as an educational resource for all things related to pool safety and child drownings.
